North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) is seeking expressions of interest for a consumer representative to contribute to one of two committees as part of the North Executive Team (NET).

Applications are open for a consumer or carer representative to join the following committees:

  • Safety, Quality and Consumer Engagement Committee
  • Strategy, People and Digital Committee

Angela O'Connor, Director Safety & Quality at NMHS, said consumer and carer input on these committees will be vital in ensuring our services and strategies remain person‑centred and aligned with community expectations.

"People with lived experience as consumers and carers bring valuable insight to help us ensure the diverse needs and perspectives of our community are at the forefront of care planning," said Angela.

The NMHS NET serves as the principal advisory body to the Chief Executive, providing high-level strategic and operational leadership. It ensures collective accountability, manages organisational risk, and drives performance to deliver quality care and positive patient outcomes.

The Safety, Quality and Consumer Experience Committee focuses on oversight of clinical safety, quality performance, and the consumer experience across NMHS.

The Strategy, People and Digital Committee provides strategic oversight of organisational strategy, people and culture, and digital transformation.

Applications close 27 February 2026.
