As one of the largest health services in WA, North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) provides a comprehensive range of adult specialist medical, surgical, mental health and obstetric and services:

  • Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital is one of Western Australia’s leading tertiary hospitals, offering trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It also houses one of the State’s most comprehensive cancer centres and is the principal site for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
  • Osborne Park Hospital delivers specialist sub-acute care and rehabilitation including aged care, neurological rehabilitation, elective surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology. 
  • King Edward Memorial Hospital is WA’s largest maternity hospital, providing expert care in obstetrics, gynaecology and newborn services. 
  • Graylands Hospital offers acute and rehabilitation mental health services, both inpatient and community-based.  It is also WA’s only public psychiatric teaching hospital.
  • Joondalup Health Campus, located further north, provides a wide range of medical and surgical services, including critical care, maternity, neonatal and paediatric care aged care, and rehabilitation.

Additionally, we offer a range of statewide and specialised multidisciplinary services from our hospital and clinic sites to people living across Western Australia.

Allied health professionals are embedded cross all NMHS services, working within multi-disciplinary teams to provide a wide range of evidence informed interventions and treatments to adults, children and adolescents.
