Allied Health and Health Science
Allied health and health science staff work together with other healthcare professionals to support a person’s medical care.

Clinical Academics
Clinical academics are employees of the University of Western Australia who are concurrently employed with NMHS, contributing to research, training of high-quality doctors and the provision of clinical service.
Areas include: cardiology, clinical immunology, endoscopy, general medicine, geriatrics, paediatrics, psychiatry and respiratory.
Hospital Support Worker
Areas include: Cleaner, cook, courier, food service attendant, gardener, linen, mailroom, orderly, laboratory attendant, patient care assistant, shop assistant, store person, sterilisation technician and transport.
Medical Practitioners / Doctors
Doctors are involved in a wide range of direct patient care activities, including consultations, attending emergencies, performing operations and arranging medical investigations.
Areas include: Intern, resident, registrar, consultant, surgeon, pathologist.
Mental Health
Career opportunities in Mental Health exist for medical, nursing and allied health professionals in both community and inpatient settings across metropolitan, rural and remote services.
Nursing and Midwifery
Clinical nurse, enrolled nurse, midwife, nurse assistant, nurse educator, registered nurse, nurse educator, nurse practitioner.

Security
Areas include: Security officers.
Site Services
Maintenance services: carpenter, driller, electrician, handy person, mechanical fitter, painter, plasterer, plumber and refrigeration fitter.
Services are delivered through inpatient units, outpatient clinics, community mental health centres and day therapy and outreach programs to a catchment area comprising of 729,000 people.
