Help us design a community-based postnatal intervention group for maternal mental health

The Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS), Mental Health Service is looking for people with lived experience of motherhood with children under two years to take part in a survey to help us improve the services we provide postnatal mothers experiencing mental health difficulties in Western Australia.
Senior Clinical Psychologist Kellie Dedman said adjusting to motherhood can be a difficult period, with significant changes to routines, lifestyle and relationships.
“For some new mums, individual circumstances can be associated with difficulty adjusting to the changes a new baby brings and these experiences can lead to poorer mental health and mother-infant relationship difficulties,” Kellie said.
